James Garner as Detective Rockford

 

 

Storyline

Beth Davenport is a friend of private investigator Rockford’s. She commissions him with looking into the disappearances of an airline check. Rockford takes on the investigation, though highly unmotivated.

After a concert, he returns to his trailer, which does not only serve him as his home, but also as office, and finds two dead bodies. The victims have been shot with his gun, which he usually keeps in a coffee can.

His only chance to prove his innocence is to find the real perpetrator.
