Season 1 – Episode: Skin Deep

First Broadcast in Germany: January 22nd 1985

Tom Selleck as Private Detective Thomas Magnum

Storyline

David Norman, the former lover and manager of the famous actress Erin Wolfe, issues private investigator Magnum the order of investigating her death. The actress was found dead in her apartment - shot in the face, so identification was impossible. The police investigation indicated a suicide, but Norman cannot believe it. He thinks that the she was the victim of a crime.

As part of his investigation, the private investigator finds out that Erin Wolfe is not dead. Quite the opposite: she appears to be alive, as a photo of her was found that shows her in the bay. When Magnum confronts the person in the picture and flies with his friend, T.C., to the indicated location, he finds that the actress had been spending her time entirely carefree and unencumbered by the public.

Suddenly Magnum’s client, David Norman, appears on the island, following the private investigator. Here, the client turns out to be a dangerous psychopath who is now threatening to kill the actress, so things get completely out of hand.
