Storyline

T.C. and his friend, Ron Pennington, stop on the way back from a baseball game at a store to buy some drinks. Ron jumps out of the car laughing and enters the store while T.C. waits in the car. Then suddenly several shots are dropped.

When T.C. enters the store shortly after, he finds his friend lying dead on the floor. He has no choice but to tell Ron's family of his death. The Pennington family is overwhelmed with pain over the loss and shares a desire to find the killer.

The family commissions Magnum with investigations. The detective has to find the murderer of Ron Pennington.
