Tom Selleck as Private Detective Thomas Magnum
Storyline
The good-looking Adelaide Malone seeks private detective Magnum and tells him that her beloved Norman will be killed if she do not pay a large sum of money. Magnum naturally promises to protect Norman's life. Puzzled, he then realizes, however, that there is no way Norman is the friend or lover of Adelaide Malone, but that he is a racehorse participating in a Grand Prix show jumping in Hawaii and is guaranteed to win.
Even if he is not very enthusiastic about this commission, Magnum is persuaded by his attractive client to accept the job and work until the big race finds place. Shortly after Norman has successfully completed the race, his owner wins the prize money of 25,000 dollars and the danger seems averted, but the animal is kidnapped. Magnum immediately begins his investigations and attempts to find the highly doped racehorse.
