Storyline

Trade flourishes at the international toy market with the so-called patchwork dolls. These brought George E. Mulch to the idea of ??launching a competing product on the market and with which he designed the Courtney doll, hoping to gain a market share that will make him rich.

Mulch manages to find an investor in James Ryan, who is willing to invest half a million dollars in the young and risky business. His wife, Martha Ryan, is suspicious and turns to the Remington Steele Detective Agency.

She commissions Remington Steele and Laura Holt to inspect the Courtney Doll company and analyze their credibility. Thus, Remington Steele makes his way to the Courtney Doll headquarters.

He is more than irritated when he finds neither machinery, nor personnel, but only empty factory buildings. The only person Steele meets is a loan shark who has already taken hold of the director's office and immediately attacks the detective.
